It can be defined as science which understands the nature of nutrients and their requirement and deals with selection, preservation, processing, packaging and distribution of safe food. All the developing nations have a very strict and extremely scrutinized system for fulfilling the requirement of food among their people which is based upon advancement in the field of Food Sciences and Technology. The reason of rapid growth of developed nation embedded in availability of safe food and as such lesser pressure on their Health resources. Healthier bodies result in healthier activities and eventually a quantized effect on the growth and development of a nation. Development in food sciences and technology will pave the way for Food security, Food safety, understanding nutrient deficiencies and thereof, healthier and striving Nation.
