First Convocation of the Govt Sadiq College Women University Bahawalpur

The first convocation of Govt Sadiq College Women University Bahawalpur was held on Monday, 20th March 2017. The venue was GSCWU's main campus. The chief guest for the convocation was the worthy Chancellor of Govt Sadiq College Women University Bahawalpur, the honorable governor of Punjab, Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana.

The convocation began with a majestic and grand academic procession followed by National Anthem. The convocation was declared open formally. The worthy Vice-Chancellor of GSCWU Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Talat Afza presented the annual campus report. In campus report The Honorable Vice Chancellor highlighted the infrastructure developments in the campus that took place in brief time period. GSCWU runs 26 programes of 4 years BS, MA, and MSc under five faculties. She also mentioned that the student enrollment has increased from 4500 in 2015 to about 6000 during the current year.

The graduating student presented the graduate representative speech on behalf of graduating students. Then came the section of conferment of the degrees. A scintillating medals and award ceremony was held. The award of medal was followed by the award of degree and address of the chancellor, i.e the Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana. The audience was enthralled by the rousing speech of worthy chief guest, the governor Punjab, Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana. The convocation ceremony was declared closed by the worthy chancellor.
