Scope

Master of Philosophy in English (Linguistics and Literature) is a post graduate course. It is a research degree. Its chief component is the production of a scholarly thesis based on original work in relevant areas of study regarding English language and Literature. This course covers all the aspects related to English literature and linguistics having an applied perspective of English as a second language.

 

Objectives:

In specific, the learners shall also be able to:

  1. Develop confidence, independence, and ability to analyze
  2. Express ability to respond effectively
  3. Use critical concepts, linguistic concepts and terminology with understanding
  4. Analyze individual texts and explore comparison between them
