The play conducted by English Department on 6^th and 7^th of January 2016 was a throwback to the old times. Every year the department conducts a play, but this event was marked by special success, as prestigious guests were invited and the university was honored to have them at the play. The play was dramatized on Shakespeare’s light and delightful comedy “Twelfth Night”. The students and teachers gave two entire months of struggle and practice to attain perfection. And it was, indeed, a task to come up to the level that department wanted to achieve. The play was well appreciated by audience and the honorable guests, Commissioner of Bahawalpur and the Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.

 The honorable guests and the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Tallat Afza congratulated the English Department for giving out an educational and recreational activity. The Commissioner Bahawalpur announced Rs. 10,000 as price money for the performers. The chairperson English Department, Professor SuriyyaTallat offered thanks to all the dignitaries for their appreciation and encouragement.

The Department of English is always ready to undertake such recreational events and the play conducted was a success for the GSCWU. Such recreational events, if conducted with the same passion and heat, would take the University at the heights of glory, In Sha Allah!
